CURRRENTLY ACCEPTING SUBMISSIONS

The submission must not have been previously published, nor be considered for another journal.

Any student who has completed undergraduate research or a mentor-based program or fellowship can submit to the journal.
-
We accept and encourage submissions from all schools of IU South Bend.
-
The work must be approved by a faculty mentor prior to submission.

CRITERIA
Manuscript must include:

Name

Student ID number
-
Genre (discourse analysis and criticism, translation, creative writing, research paper, visual art, etc.)

and your school email address on the first page of manuscript. Do not include your name elsewhere.
Include references after the manuscript body for research papers.

In a research paper, use either the MLA or the Chicago Style Manual to cite sources and include a list of works cited.
-
Submit your manuscript as an attachment; do not paste it into the body of the email. Prose should be double-spaced, but poetry can be single-spaced. Comics and visual art may be scans or photos merged into a Word Doc of PDF.

The text must be double-spaced, in 12-point font and in Times New Roman.

Please use “International Journal + Genre”, as the e-mail subject/title header.
Genre Rules
-
Research papers: Must be original research with rich content and topical fluency. Convey subject matter as clearly as possible, keep terminology to a minimum.

Short Fiction: 1 story, or up to 3 flash stories; maximum of 3,000 words.*
-
Theater: 1 one-act or excerpt of full-length play or screenplay (no musicals); maximum of 20 pages*
-
Poetry: 1 to 3 poems, maximum of 6 pages
-
Comics: 3-7 standalone comics, or 1 complete strip/story*

Visual Art: 3-7 images
